Returns & Refund Policy

At House of June, we want you to feel confident when shopping with us. Every piece is carefully checked and packaged before dispatch, and we take pride in the quality, design, and craftsmanship of our jewellery.

We hope you love your order, but if something is not quite right, please review the policy below. This policy is provided in addition to your statutory rights and does not replace, limit, or affect your rights under applicable consumer law.

Returns

In addition to your legal rights, we offer a 28 day goodwill returns period for eligible items. Please contact us within 28 days of delivery if you wish to use this policy.

To qualify under our goodwill returns policy, your item must be:

  • Unused and unworn
  • In its original condition
  • Returned with all original packaging
  • Free from signs of wear, damage, alteration, misuse, or incorrect care
Items that do not meet these conditions may not be accepted under our goodwill returns policy.

To request a return, email or message us on . Please include your order number, the reason for your return, and any relevant photographs where applicable.

Please wait for return instructions before sending your item back. Items returned without contacting us first may take longer to process.

Your Right to Cancel Online Orders

If you purchase online from the UK or Ireland, you can usually cancel your order within 14 days after receiving it without giving a reason.

To cancel, send us a clear written statement by email or WhatsApp before the cancellation period expires. Please include your name, order number, the item or items being cancelled, and the date you received the order.

After notifying us, you must send the item back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after cancellation.

You may handle an item only as much as reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and functioning, in the same way you might inspect it in a shop. We may make a lawful deduction for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary.

The cancellation right does not apply where an exception under applicable law applies, including genuinely personalised or made to specification items and certain sealed hygiene sensitive goods after the seal has been broken.

Non Returnable Items

For hygiene, safety, and quality control reasons, the following items cannot be returned or refunded under our goodwill returns policy unless they arrive faulty, damaged, incorrect, or your statutory rights apply:

  • Earrings supplied in sealed hygiene packaging after the hygiene seal has been broken, where the legal hygiene exception applies
  • Jewellery made to your specification or clearly personalised for you
  • Sale or promotional items excluded from our additional 28 day goodwill policy where this was clearly stated before purchase
Sale pricing alone does not remove legal cancellation or faulty goods rights. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights where an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or not as described.

Refunds

Once your returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved.

If approved, we will issue the refund to the original payment method unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. We normally process approved refunds within 5 to 7 working days and will meet any shorter or mandatory legal deadline that applies.

Where you exercise the legal right to cancel an online order, we will make the refund within 14 days after receiving the returned goods or receiving evidence that you sent them back, whichever occurs first. We may withhold reimbursement until then where the law permits.

  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the item arrives faulty, damaged, incorrect, or not as described.
  • We offer free returns if your item arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect.
  • Standard outbound delivery charges will be refunded where required by law when you exercise a legal right to cancel.
  • Premium or express delivery upgrades may not be refunded beyond the cost of standard delivery.
  • We recommend using a tracked return service and keeping proof of postage until your refund is completed.

Exchanges

We are currently unable to offer exchanges.

This helps us maintain high hygiene and quality standards across all jewellery. If you would like a different item, you are welcome to place a new order. Our team will be happy to answer any questions before you purchase.

Damaged, Faulty, or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, contact us as soon as reasonably possible by email or WhatsApp. We ask customers to report visible delivery damage within 48 hours where possible so that we can investigate promptly, but this request does not limit your statutory rights.

Please include, where reasonably possible:

  • Your order number
  • A clear description of the issue
  • Clear photographs of the item and packaging
  • A clear video where this would help demonstrate the issue

A missing photograph or video will not automatically prevent a valid claim. After review, we will provide the remedy required by applicable consumer law, which may include a refund, repair, replacement, price reduction, or another suitable resolution.

House of June will bear reasonable return costs where an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or not as described and the law requires us to do so.

Anti Tarnish & Jewellery Care Disclaimer

Our jewellery is designed to be water resistant during normal everyday wear and to resist tarnishing when cared for correctly. These descriptions are not a promise that a piece is completely immune to wear, fading, discolouration, or damage in every environment.

Tarnishing, fading, discolouration, or damage caused by the following is not considered a manufacturing fault:

  • Exposure to perfumes, lotions, oils, or cosmetics
  • Contact with cleaning products or harsh chemicals
  • Exposure to seawater, chlorine, or harsh chemical environments
  • Improper storage or handling
  • Accidental damage
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Failure to follow care instructions

To keep your jewellery looking beautiful for as long as possible, please follow the care instructions provided with your order.

Items damaged due to improper care, misuse, accidental damage, normal wear and tear, or failure to follow care instructions will not be eligible for a return or refund unless required by law.

Your Statutory Rights

Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. Consumers in both the UK and Ireland generally have a short term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days, subject to the applicable law and the circumstances of the claim.

After the initial period, you may still have rights to a repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund. These rights are separate from our 28 day goodwill returns policy and any House of June warranty.

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or replaces any mandatory consumer right or remedy available under UK or Irish law.
