01 / The art of choosing
Bridal jewellery that feels like you
Choose one piece to lead. Let everything else quietly support it.
The best wedding jewellery works with your dress, your hairstyle and the way you like to feel. It might be a pearl necklace against simple satin, a pair of crystal studs beneath a veil or a brooch on a beautifully cut bridal suit.
Start with the outfit you have chosen. Look at where the fabric leaves space and where it already has detail. Then try your jewellery with your hairstyle and veil, taking a photograph from a few steps back to judge the balance.
If your neckline is embellished, start with earrings. If it is open and simple, try a necklace. You do not need a matching set—or a piece in every category—to feel finished.
02 / Dress first, details second
Find the balance for your neckline
| Your neckline | Try this | The finishing thought |
|---|---|---|
| V-neck | A pendant or fine necklace | Let the necklace sit within the open space rather than against the edge of the dress. |
| Sweetheart or strapless | A short necklace with understated earrings | Check the chain length with the dress on. Leave a clear gap above the fabric. |
| High neck or detailed lace | Studs or a focal pair of earrings | Try the look without a necklace so the fabric has room to shine. |
| Off the shoulder | Earrings alone, or a delicate necklace | Choose the area you want to emphasise and keep the other pieces quieter. |
| Bridal suit | A brooch on the lapel or a fine chain | Match the scale to the tailoring and check that the fabric supports the pin. |
Explore our gold necklaces for open necklines, or gold stud earrings for a more understated finish.
03 / The complete look
Make room for the details
Think about your hair
An updo gives earrings more visibility. With loose hair, try the pieces on before deciding: a beautiful earring can disappear beneath a wave or catch on a strand.
Follow the dress’s mood
Plain satin leaves space for sculptural shapes. Intricate lace often works with smaller details. Gold tones can add warmth to ivory and champagne, but your own preference matters more than a strict colour rule.
Choose comfort early
Wear your chosen pieces at home before the wedding. Check the earring weight, necklace fastening and whether a bracelet catches on sleeves. A fitting is a useful time to test the full combination.
Leave space for your wedding band
Keep extra rings considered, particularly on the hand that will feature in your ceremony photographs. There is no need to add another piece if the look already feels complete.
For bare wrists and shorter sleeves, browse our gold bracelets. For a focal point near the face, explore our earring collection.
04 / A considered selection
The House of June wedding edit
Three different ways to finish a wedding look. Choose the detail that suits your outfit, rather than wearing them all together.

Pearl Bloom Gold Chain Necklace
Soft pearl detail
Floral clusters of pearl beads bring a romantic touch to a simple neckline. Try it with an open collar or a plain dress, then wear it again with a favourite shirt.

05 / Know your jewellery
Beautiful details. Clear choices.
Materials and finishes vary between designs. Pearl Bloom has a gold-tone finish over 316L stainless steel. Aurelia has an 18K gold-plated finish over 316L stainless steel. Valoria is made from alloy with a gold-tone finish.
These are different constructions, so check the individual listing rather than assuming that every piece has the same plating or water resistance. If you have a known metal sensitivity, check the material information before choosing.
Eligible purchases are supported by our 12-month jewellery warranty, subject to its terms.
A little care, before and after
- Put jewellery on after perfume, make-up and hairspray have settled.
- Keep pieces away from chlorine, seawater and cleaning products.
- Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing.
- Store pieces separately to protect the finish and prevent tangles.
- Follow the care instructions for your chosen design.
06 / Beyond the wedding day
Let the memory become part of everyday life
A pearl necklace can soften a crisp shirt. Crystal studs can bring a little occasion to dinner. A brooch can return on a favourite jacket. Choose a piece you can already imagine wearing again, and it has a place in your wardrobe beyond the wedding photographs.
Your final fitting checklist
- Try the dress, jewellery, hairstyle and veil together.
- Check the look in daylight and indoor light.
- Sit, walk and move your arms to test comfort.
- Check clasps, earring backs and pin fastenings.
- Pack each piece separately for the journey.

Your bridal jewellery questions
What jewellery should a bride wear?
Start with the dress and one focal piece: earrings, a necklace or a brooch. Add a bracelet only if it improves the balance. Your comfort and personal style matter more than wearing a full set.
Do I need a necklace with my wedding dress?
No. High necklines, lace and embellished bodices often look complete with earrings alone. For open necklines, try a necklace that sits comfortably above the fabric.
Should bridal jewellery match exactly?
It can, but it does not have to. A shared metal tone or repeated detail can connect different pieces. Keep the scale balanced so one element leads.
Are pearl details suitable for a modern bridal look?
Yes. Floral pearl-bead details can bring softness to a simple dress or tailored outfit. Pair them with clean lines if you prefer a contemporary look.
Is every piece in this edit made from stainless steel?
No. Pearl Bloom and Aurelia use 316L stainless steel, while Valoria uses an alloy base. Check each product page for its specific finish and care guidance.
When should I choose my wedding jewellery?
Once you know your dress and have a sense of your hairstyle, begin trying combinations. Allow enough time before the wedding to check fit, comfort and delivery arrangements.
